FOR TODAY
Monday, Oct 12, 2009...
Outside my window... The sun is just peeking over the mountain to the east and it is chilly outside!
I am thinking... That it is nice to have a few moments in the morning that are quiet and not full of kid requests.
I am thankful for... a healthy pregnancy.
From the learning rooms... Week 9 of our lesson plans and "B" Week. They are all looking forward to Bananas and Boats (I hope they don't think we'll be RIDING on a boat!).
From the kitchen... Banana Bread, Basic Bread, Blueberry Muffins, Beef Stroganoff, Brownies, lots of yummy things begin with "B"!!
I am wearing... My warm, soft and cozy, Dr. Pepper pajama pants with a pajama tank top - since it is chilly, I just added a polar fleece jacket and thick socks!
I am creating... Baked goods in the kitchen this week! Warm it up around here with that oven on and our bellies full.
I am going... To deal with paper clutter this week... yikes, pray that I don't get buried under any of it!
I am reading... The November issue of "Family Fun" magazine.
I am hoping... That my runny nose is not an indicator of a cold that will hang on for weeks.
I am hearing... A clock ticking, cars on the highway about 3/4 of a mile away, my dog snoring and turkeys gobbling.
Around the house... After doing the last two loads of treekid laundry, I believe that all of the summer items have been located to put away - I shouldn't see shorts and tank tops until next May or June!

One of my favorite things... Staying underneath the warm covers of the bed when it is brisk out - ALONE, a rarity! I was pleased to just lay quietly in my bed for twenty minutes this morning pondering the day and week ahead... no cold little hand and feet and constant chatter!
A few plans for the rest of the week... The treekids have pumpkins to enter in the local Giant Pumpkin Festival, Big Sale today at Joann Fabric's for Columbus Day, Regular OB Appt, Bud's first Blue Knights meeting, Giant Pumpkin Festival over the weekend, Pops is out of town.

So happy to hear you are reading Family Fun! Though I don't have anything in November, thanks to some quiet time in the summer, you can find my craft ideas and work in every other issue. Check out my Letter Photo Hunt in October with my young ones! And thanks so much for following my blog!
ReplyDeleteI love to stay under warm covers when it's cold and everything is quiet. That bacon looks great. I can almost smell it. I hope you have a lovely week. Doylene
ReplyDeleteMmmm ... bacon. Thanks for that mouth watering picture, from one pregnant woman to another! ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're going to have a good week, even with Pops gone. I love laying in bed when it's quiet. It's one of those small things that can really make a difference.
Nice daybook!
