My Daybook, Entry #24

The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY
Tuesday, March 9, 2010...

Outside my window... Cloudy, Cold - we have found WINTER!

I am thinking... that I make too big and lofty of plans. I have too many irons in my fire and Blossom's birthday is this Saturday. Will I get it all done???

I am thankful for... hands that can create little ditties as gifts. (I just wish I would engage my brain sooner and get the hands to work sooner, too!)

From the learning rooms... I am planning for next year already... I think that my plan is nearly "good to go" and I will be ordering things to continue our home educating journey!! It is soooo much fun when all the new things arrive! (We don't take an official summer break. We choose our school breaks when they suit our travels and burn-out moments!!)

From the kitchen... Is it fair to say that I just don't have time for the kitchen this week, other than a birthday cake?!! I will be WINGING it ALL week long!!

I am wearing... Standard comfy clothes, but with a towel wrapped up around my wet hair!

I am creating... my sewing machine is working over-time. And my brain hurts in trying to figure out how I am going to get the main part of Blossom's birthday completed this week... YIKES.

I am going... to have to drop the books at the library SOON - if the week goes well, maybe Friday we'll go and peruse a bit.

I am reading... tutorials on felt food.

I am hoping... that Bump takes a long afternoon nap every day this week!!

I am hearing... Blossom and Bump singing and cooing at each other, the dog snoring, the refrigerator clicking, Branch breathing by my arm, Bud just woke - so, he isn't making noise, yet and Pops has already left for today.

Around the house... laundry laundry laundry and sewing - no time for anything else much!

One of my favorite things... procrastination, apparently!

A few plans for the rest of the week... uh, those birthday things, Little Flowers for the girls on Thursday, hoping a trip to the library on Friday, Birthday Celebration for Blossom on Saturday!!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...
