My Daybook, Entry #23

FOR TODAY
Tuesday, March 2, 2010...

Outside my window... Cloudy, 47 degrees. Forecasting mid 50s and light rain.

I am thinking... that I am not certain that I prefer doing my daybook on Tuesday. "Simple Woman" has changed her daybook post days from Mondays to Tuesdays on her site. Of course I could still do mine on Monday and just link up on Tuesday... But, I will try to have a go at it for a few weeks on Tuesday before I decide to revert back to my preference of helping me get going with a post each Monday!!

I am thankful for... Sleep. I have been "lucky" enough to get a full night's sleep (6 hours or more) for too many nights to count!

From the learning rooms... I have accomplished "fun mom" status. We have been recording the weather and it was "boring." Now we have stickers and stampers and I am instantly FUN!

From the kitchen...

Tuesday: Chicken Scampi

Wednesday: Ground Beef - maybe Manwich?

Thursday: Roast, potatoes and carrots in the crockpot

Friday: Breakfast for Supper - Waffles or Pancakes with Poached Egg Whites

Saturday: Something "Quick"??

Sunday: Steak & Potatoes on the grill

I am wearing... Pajamas, still!

I am creating... just a bit of this and that... check in on Wednesday when I will post a picture of something either finished or in the works!

I am going... for another walk with the kids! Cheap thrills and good for us all!

I am reading... lesson plans and curriculum catalogs - looking at what we might need to change for next year and what was working.

I am hoping... to get Blossom's birthday present finished well before her birthday on March 13th! YIKES!

I am hearing... computer humming, dog snoring!

Around the house... Spring is in the air... cleaning will follow!

One of my favorite things... hanging out with Pops and the treekids at home with "nothing" that needs to get done.

A few plans for the rest of the week... work on a few homemade gifts, keep working on getting "de-cluttered", continue to work on a curriculum plan for "next" year.

Bud (3 yr, 9 mo) & Branch (2 yr, 2 mo)

Strangely... things haven't changed much! Bud still prefers to stick his tongue out at the camera and Branch tends to be bossy and tell him to knock it off - along with giving that stern look!! I can hardly wait to see how this relationship plays out in the pre-teens, teens, twenties, thirties... I am betting it will all stay so close to the same!!
