Last Friday we visited the drive-thru zoo with one of our local homeschool groups... it was quite rainy, but the animals were out and enjoying the drizzle.
Llamas are a hit with our family. We love the story "Llama Llama, Red Pajama" and "Llama Llama, Mad at Mama" by Anna Dewdney. "Llama Llama" is a family favorite. The way the prose rolls off the tongue... LOVE IT! Wishing I could get a kick back for that book promotion... but, that Ms. Dewdney hasn't a clue who I am. Rats.
One final picture from our "safari"...
Isn't he an awesome creature? Gorgeous. Next visit, I will try to find out his name. He deserves to be called by a regal name... I hope it isn't Bubba, Earl or Jasper.
Hi Erica,
ReplyDeleteI love the animal photos - the wet fur on the llama's ears is cute. And look at those eyelashes.
The giraffe picture is great. You should submit that one to the fair this summer.

Oh how I wish we could have gone! Buckaroo just would have made it miserable!
