My Daybook, Entry #11

The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY
Tuesday, Dec 1, 2009...

Outside my window... Chilly!!

I am thinking... about a "blog name" for my new precious treekid! We worked on a birth certificate name from April until about an hour after he was born... I don't plan to take eight months to choose a blog name... but I'm open to suggestions! I'm looking for a tree related word that begins with a "B". I have a few ideas, but would love to hear any suggestions!!!!

I am thankful for... children who love books!!!

From the learning rooms... I believe that we are STILL "officially" on a baby break.

From the kitchen... Hmmm - maybe we'll come up with a plan after a bit!

I am wearing... Tan cords, a cream sweater (that I dribbled a bit of salsa on this morning as I ate a breakfast burrito), my maroon slip on Mary-Jane Clarks and two bracelets - one "made" by Blossom and the other a new baby gift from Pops!! :)

I am creating... not much - but dreaming up stuff that I will be working on with my sewing machine soon enough!

I am going... to try to be patient. That is so much easier said than done - but, I'm trying!

I am reading... some picture books that the treekids brought home from their trip to the library with Geemah!

I am hoping... to remember to sleep more - go to bed earlier and remember to take an afternoon nap!

I am hearing... a noisy machine.

Around the house... We tried to set up our Christmas tree on Sunday evening. It is a pre-lit tree and half of the tree would not light. Pops took it to the dump and we now need to find a tree. Pops is thinking a real tree this year since we do live in an area of many Christmas Trees!!

One of my favorite things... home. Quiet peaceful home.

A few plans for the rest of the week... Slow week. Baby Baptism on Saturday evening at 5pm!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

  5. Congrats from Iowa. I hope that you all are doing well.

I couldn't resist doing a bit of 'B' research on trees. Leave it to a science teacher.

Berry is probably the one that fits in best, and I'm not the first to come up with that.

Bonsai is the art of caring for and shaping trees with love and care.

Buckeye is a type of tree and might be a bit more masculine.

Tell Pops that his old buddy from Aquinas says hi.

    Best wishes,
