Seed Harvesting

Yes, the carving is important... but to Pops? It is allllll about the SEEDS! This year the batch is really quite tasty. I didn't remember to photograph them, but believe me... the are lightly browned and full of yummy goodness. Here are a few pictures from the scooping and preparing the seeds/pumpkins...

I was cracking up, because little BumpMan was trying so hard to be a part of the action. He just isn't quite big enough to get up at the table!

But, hammin' it up for the camera makes for a good gig and kept mom entertained while the big kids dropped slimy seeds all over the bench, chairs and floor. So much for having newspaper all over the table!

He was staying close to Pops in hopes of seeing things a little closer. And there was also the possibility that Pops would go outside at any moment. And, if that were to happen, Bump would want to be right handy for the pick up!

Such a happy child, when well rested, even in the early stages of a double ear infection.

Ah, but he let me have it and wanted up to see what all was going on, and that meant the end of pictures for the evening. Have I mentioned 24 pounds of chubby baby love to lug around? A bit challenging to take pictures when hoisting that much weight when it is squirmy!
