Where the Wild People Are

Our trip to the Safari was a great time. I am so glad that we went as a group! Jessica, Amy, Marci and I all took our kids and had a blast together. I think that I got at least one picture of everyone (except for the Amy's baby... he was either nursing, crying or hiding in mama's front pouch -  he is sort of in the last picture with the moms!), so I will share them... it was a riot!

This was a great group of kids!

Every last blessed picture I have of this youngster is from behind!
Well, except the group shot below! What are the odds of that!?!

And the mom's of those great kids! I think that we needed a "field trip" on this gorgeous spring day as much as if not more than the kids!

I hope that we can all go again... when we have all recuperated!!

  3. OH, MY!! Miss M.,

I am so so so sooooooo an amateur!!

Last year for Mother's Day I was lucky to have gotten a Nikon D40 from Pops and the crew. it is a beginning level DSLR - but, I love it!!! For Christmas, I got a Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm lens. Love that, too! One day I will write a post about my likes and wishes for taking pictures!!

  5. Thanks, Elm! I'm hoping to purchase a new digital camera and am looking for "just the right one". My parents have a Pentax which is **WOW** but my pocketbook is just as much of an amateur as my skill is right now... I'll keep your Nikon in mind and look forward to that post!

I took a few semesters worth of photography at the local college and loved it! But that was with the old negative cameras... much more of an art than for pleasure's sake. I'm excited to take on the world of digital photography, but am quickly learning that as much as skill is necessary, so is a good quality digital camera. Your pictures of the children are awesome!

Looks like you ladies had fun! I enjoy seeing what you all do and am taking "notes" should my time for wife and mother come!

    Happy picture-taking!
