Some final thoughts

I have a few observations to share with you... especially if you have never before driven the Reno to Las Vegas route.

1st - It is barren. A land of nothingness from Reno to Las Vegas.  The vegetation includes things like this...

2nd - Driving from Reno to Las Vegas makes I-80 across Wyoming look like the hotbed of tourism. Fill up your gas tank at every opportunity or you will have to stop at the place with "emergency gas" spray painted on a sign at the end of the driveway.

3rd - The unexpected Sierra Nevadas were beautiful amidst all the bareness. I was not able to get a very good picture of the mountains - this is as good as I got. Just another reason to head back to visit Death Valley National Park. Didn't get a photo, must return!

So, until we physically return to the region... I believe I am done killing you with the proverbial vacation slideshow!
