The end of the tracks

Oh, my! I am trying to be chronological, but I am out of order. I found these pics of our last day at the Grand Canyon and had to share them... I hope they are "worth it" to you!

This is an old building there - I forget what in the world they use it for now... hmmm. Doesn't matter. Aren't those icicles amazing!! Bud wanted to knock them all down! Well, all the kids wanted one to eat - a lollipop of sorts! They were rather dirty, so we skipped on the eating them and they were so pretty I said "No Way, Posay!" to knocking them down! (Yes, I know most people say "No Way, Jose!" but, we don't in our family! I have a cousin - who is now probably 12 or something who always said "no way, posay!" when he was a tiny tike! Cute, huh? So, we say it that way. Now you know the cute story you don't have to correct my speech! The spelling, sure. The word... no, thanks!)

I tell ya - photos just can't do it justice. Please make the trip to go see. It will make you feel at least half as small as you really are!

Some kids - not ours - made this happy little snowman and I liked it. I did. I do. I like snowmen. They make the cold snow seem pleasant!

Here is the train engine that brought us back to Williams, AZ from the Grand Canyon. We thought we were going to be taken by a steam engine, but the cold weather indicates using a diesel engine instead. So... this guy did the job of getting us where we needed to go!

Remember that Wild West Shootout? Yea, on our way back to the train station in Williams, those train robbers "shot out a wheel of our train" - that sounds suspect, but that is what the conductor said happened. And they hoped on board and robbed us all at gunpoint! Shocking... The girls were horrified that there was a real train robbery!

We had to explain that it was part of the "show." Branch was not so sure... That gun looked awfully real to her!!

Here, Bud is giving "all" his Pops' money to the train robber... Sort of a clever way for the actors to get a few tips for their entertainment!
