Down By The River

THAT is where we are going!! Well... maybe. It might be a lake.

When we are "lucky," anyway!

And, NO, most definitely NOT in a van.

In, a, uhmmm, well, something like THIS:

(I will get nice big pics of our ACTUAL "new home" soon, but this is as good as it gets for now!!)

Yes, the "Treehouse" is hitting the road and we're taking our family to live a rambler's life.
(This is for a currently undetermined length of time... but, I promise - it will NOT be forever!)

We hope it will be a fun adventure for us... so, if we are in YOUR area, don't be surprised if we set up house nearby and ask ya to stop by for ANOTHER house warming party as our 'home' will be constantly changing!!!

Let the Excitement begin! Here is the floor plan of our new home sweet home on wheels!!

We take off soon and will be at our "first stop," after picking up and loading, (tentatively scheduled to be the Des Moines, Iowa area) the week of March 21st!
This is a crazy time ... I will try to check in regularly as we settle into our new life. For sure, I will want to share all the fun and bumps we hit along the road!

  3. WOW! Looks like a great set-up for a fantastic family adventure! :-)

We have birthday gifts for the birthday girls... but not sure where to send them...??? Can we become a "pit stop" on this trip? We would love to have you anytime!

Sending our love and prayers to you all! We can't wait to hear all your stories from this whirlwind time!

  4. WOW Elm! I am almost Speechless!! But, what a GREAT family adventure! Praying that the packing-up & getting re-situated in your new "home" will go as planned with no hitches but the one on your tow vehicle!
    Love, Aunt S.

BTW, I think you may be one of the bravest Moms I have ever known! You would have definitely been a real pioneer woman a couple of centuries back; you would have been one of those brave souls who headed west in a covered wagon! LOL

  6. Hi Erica,

Chiming in a bit late here, but what a fantastic adventure. The RV looks beautiful from what I can tell from the thumbnails.

I hope you guys have a great time!

  7. UnbeLIEVable! This sounds like a fun adventure. The title of your post made me laugh soooo hard. That's one of our favorite SNL skits. No matter how many times we watch it, no matter how many times we joke about it, I still laugh myself to tears. Chris Farley, rest in peace.
