MORE fun with Pops!!

Apparently, homeschooling continued while I was away. It appears that the family was studying the life cycle of a flea!

They are holding "Fanny Flea" - yes, she has a name.

Did YOU know how many eggs, larvae and pupa on adult flea can create?! Well, these beads can give you an idea... This is what can happen in four months if you have one flea. Yes, ONE flea.

"GROOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!"

We are so glad that our dog stays flea free!!!

Fun with POPS!

Yep. More "fun" to see on the camera.

I am all about having the kids dress themselves on days at home. I help them choose things when we go out and about. I try to help them see how and what matches or coordinates other things. I thought we were making some progress.

Now, I hope that Branch dressed all the kids before they left the house.

Or, at least that they didn't go anywhere THIS day! The kicker for me... when I found this picture, Blossom said to me, "Look how cute I look in my clothes, Mama!"

Uhhmmm, YEA! Too cute! Some day we will be able to coordinate a shirt, skirt, tights and shoes... someday.

Ready to... Play Ball!

So, it is funny to find out what all was going on while I was out of town, by looking at the pictures on the camera!

The day that I left for Seattle, was Bud's last practice before his first game. So, they were issued their uniforms. Bud was pretty excited about it I am told.  He changed into his uniform as soon as they got home from practice at 6pm.

A pretty sharp looking baseball rookie! He decided he needed to take a few practice swings, too.

Pops had him change out of his uniform to preserve its shiny luster for game day the following week. Then it was time for bed and all was well.

Bud tends to go to sleep late reading and then he wakes late in the morning since he went to sleep late. Often he is dragging out of bed after 9 AM and wants to stay in his pajamas most of the morning if we don't herd him properly!

This night was no exception. He stayed up late reading and going to far away make believe places. The change was his relatively early wake time and appearing at the top of the stairs (with tired eyes) before 9 AM ready for his baseball game... to be held three days later at 6 PM.

I would call that excited!! Blossom thought Bud was so silly and she was all giggly in her PAJAMAS (our EARLY waker).

Looks like fun and excitement... I would have loved to be home THAT morning!!!

Still "here"

Yes, I am still here. It goes like this.  I took a surprise week off!  I didn't plan on it. But, it looks like a week since my last post.

The middle of last week was spent preparing to leave. Then, I left with Jessica and Marci to go stay with Regina and attend a homeschool conference.  We had plenty of fun having some girl time without kid responsibilities!!! Now, we are working on putting our family back to a two parent machine... always takes some time when Pops is gone for a few days, too. So, things will be back in full swing soon!

In the mean time, we will be doing baseball, fun stuff for our break from school and some spring cleaning around here! Pops got started on the garage and it is looking great... there is a light at the end of some tunnels!!
